Following on from the NPO coalition meeting with the FATF Secretariat  in Paris on September 7, a proposal has been submitted  for a text revision of the FATF's Recommendation 8 (R8) and its Interpretive Note (IN). The proposal is the outcome of a consultation held with a global coalition of NPOs. The text  of R8/ the IN which the coalition would like changed has been highlighted followed by comments and proposed text, and by a reference to the R8 Best Practices Paper in support of such a change. This proposal will be shared by the global coalition with their country delegations and also with the EU delegation.
